Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest amongst the fir trees, I now live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the company of smokestacks.
My poetry chapbook, What I Would Say if We Were To Drown Tonight, is a 2015 Villa Paper Nautilus finalist & published by Stranded Oak Press. I’m working on two fantasy novels for young readers.
When I’m not mucking about in sentences, you can usually find me hosting CRAFT TALKS a webinar series on writers & writing, and The Writer’s Bridge with Allison K. Williams. I teach creative writing at the University of Pittsburgh.
My writing journey has been an adventure with many unexpected twists and turns. If you want to hear what happens next, follow me on my socials!
